Mira has been invited to perform as a guest soloist with The Chelsea Symphony on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 8:30pm at St. Paul’s Church, 315 West 22nd Street. She will be premiering the exciting and brilliant new work, “Concerto Fantastique” by her father, Dr. Samuel Magrill under the baton of Mark Seto.

The program will also include Igor Stravinsky’s “Dumbarton Oaks” and Sergei Prokofiev’s “Classical” Symphony No. 1. Tickets available on Eventbrite.

Mira will be performing the Nielsen Flute Concerto with the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra with guest conductor Jeff Milarsky this Saturday, Oct. 3rd, 2015 at 8pm in the Staller Center for the Performing Arts at Stony Brook University. More information here!

Mira recently competed in the National Flute Association’s Young artist Competition at the NFA’s 2015 Annual Convention in D.C. and placed 2nd overall! She was also awarded “Best Performance of the Newly Commissioned Work” for her performance of Jim & John by Michael Fiday. A full list of all finalists can be found here.

Mira was recently appointed the position of 2nd Flute/Piccolo with the Chamber Orchestra of New York!

Chamber Orchestra of New York, the city’s most dynamic young professionals’ orchestra, was founded in honor of Ottorino Respighi – the preeminent early twentieth century Italian composer whose compositions bridge the classical and modern traditions. In this spirit, their programming presents great works of the 20th and 21st centuries, including film scores and rarely performed gems, alongside ancient music. The orchestra also serves as the premier ensemble in the United States devoted to the Italian repertoire.

Mira will begin playing this May 14, 2015 in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall for the program titled “Cuckoo! For the Birds,” (tickets available HERE) and will be heard on their next recording album on the Naxos label.

Mira will be joined by the wonderful collaborative pianist Seba Ali on Tuesday, November 4th at 12 PM (EST). The performance will take place in the Recital Hall in the Staller Center for the Arts on the Stony Brook University campus. She will perform works by Mozart, Reinecke, Villa-Lobos, and more!
